Altered Frame featuring Papillon Potpourri

TGIF Stampers! How many of you plan to spend time in the crafting room this weekend? I do! I am looking forward to getting all my things out and creating something.

Today's project is an altered frame using the Papillon Potpourri stamp set by Stampin Up.  I recently opened my Etsy shop and my first sale was to a friend. When I asked what sentiment she wanted included inside she said "leave it blank I intend to frame it". Light bulb moment! I worked it out in my mind….and the next day began working on it.

So as I said , it was all worked out in my mind how I would design it. Things were going surprisingly smoothly( which never happens ). I was beaming with pride at how I had advanced as a master crafter. Everything glued and tacked down securely. Yes it was a masterpiece. I must get the photos taken I thought to myself while the light is still good. And that is when disaster occurred. I had glued it all upside down in the frame! I couldn't help but laugh. The best laid plans and all that …..

I hope you have enjoyed stopping by and will come again. Have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!

Kraft Envelope & Mixed Media Mini Album

Hi Stampers and welcome to my craft sanctuary. Have you ever had days when you feel a little guilty for all the money you've spent on your craft stash? I have until I realised just how much I am saving by not paying a therapist ! I can now freely craft without the guilt lol.

Anyways on to todays project. Wow this album has to be the longest project I've had running. I wanted to take my time on this album and include some of the inspiration I have found in various projects. At long last here it is………..

This album is a great use for the left over paper scraps.

I love all the pockets ths album has to storing photos, ticket stubs, whatever items the receiver considers memorable.

Only thing left to do is make a few photo mats for the pockets. I will only make 4 as I want to leave plenty of pocket space for this & that.

I hope you have enjoyed this album. I have loved creating it. I love the fact I could make use of paper that's been lying around waiting for me:-) And now that I have cleared out some space and realise how much I have been saving my dear ole hubby on therapy…….well I am off the the craft store!!

I would love to hear your feedback and please come again.

Two Tags Birthday Greetings

Hi Stampers. I've been sorting through my crafty stash and realised it's been ages since I used the Stampin Up Two Tags die. I love these little tags. Today I have combined the tag with Flower Shop and Petite Petals. The colour combos are Crumb Cake & Blushing Bride and Wisteria Wonder & Crumb Cake.

I think the Blushing Bride is my favourite, how about you? While I had the supplies out and ready I decided to make a few more cards using the Wisteria Wonder.

I just love any excuse to get out my Distressed Dots stamp ! I hope you have enjoyed the projects today and will visit again.

Hi Stampers. We have nearly made it through another week. I don't know about you but I am so ready for Friday! I am keeping my fingers crossed for some sunshine this weekend.

Today's project uses the Stampin Up Petite Petals and Chalk Talk. This card collection combines some of my favourite elements: ruffled ribbon, rhinestones, pearls and those luscious colours in the 2013-2014 collection.

I hope you have enjoyed stopping by today and will come again. Please feel free to leave your comments below. I would love to hear from you!

Eclectic Bouquet using Flower Shop & Petite Petals

Hi Stampers!I've had a productive day today in my studio. I've got a range of cards to share with you. The first one was inspired by the talented Nikki Spencer and her card can be found here . This is my take on the card.

Not sure why Soft Suede always shows up as black in photos but I can assure you I used it. Might try to re photograph this tomorrow. It really is a great layout and I knew when I saw Nikki's card I had to CASe it.

Next up was the need for some masculine cards . I always struggle with these and really do hope more manufacturers offer better selection in stamps for these occasions.

I love getting the opportunity to create my own background. Any excuse to get my fingers inky lol.

And finally some cards using the hardwood background. Yes it is an obsession with me at the moment. I just love the masculine and feminine images complementing each other.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you will leave a comment, I really appreciate when you do! Have a great day and come again.

Bloomin Marvelous

Hi Stampers and welcome to The Firefly Studio. I've been playing around with the Bloomin Marvelous stamp set today. I thought it would be fun to try some new colour combinations. Today's project uses the Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray, Whisper White and Real Red.  Take a look yourself……

I 've enjoyed using these colours in this project and the playful effect it's given these cards. Thanks for dropping in today and do come again.

Postage Due

Welcome Stampers! I have finally taken a break from the Christmas cards. I have many more to create but thought it would be nice to get some summer colours in today's project.

Today I have used the Postage Due stamp set and watercolour technique. I love the softness of the image created by spritzing either water or as I have done some shimmer mist to the inked stamp.

I kept it simple as to not take away from the water coloured image and the fact this card is on it's way to the U.S.A. so embellishments would only add to the cost to ship. I hope the recipient likes it!

I'd love to hear from you so please do leave comments. Enjoy your day.
