Lilacs & Lace Junk Journal

Hi Crafters! Welcome to my little studio. I get so excited when I find time to play around in my crafting space. Unfortunately it is far too limited but hopefully that is about to change:-)

Today I am sharing my latest passion......junk journals! Oh my I have opened a can of worms here ! I am spending hours obsessing and binge watching youtube videos. So much talent in this world!

So on to my latest journal. I have combined my love for Pion papers, pattern papers, lace and beeswax to create this 4.5" x 7" junk journal. I started by cutting three layers of pattern, machine stitching them together then melting my beeswax onto the pattern cover. Lush!! I am crazy about effect this technique achieves and will be using it much more in future projects.

The cover was created layering my pattern base, tea stained cheesecloth, Pion papers that have been distressed and finally adding fabric photo card from my Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/listing/507641798/fabric-photo-cards?ref=listing-shop-header-3

This journal is a single signature with 3 hole pamphlet stitch and contains 28 writing pages all tea stained. There are 12 handmade tags and 14 pockets/tuck spots.

I hope you enjoyed today's project and are inspired to give one a try. Thank you for stopping by and please come again! Have a great day!
