All that Glitters

Finally some time to play in the studio. I love planning and designing for classes but do miss having free time to just play around with different techniques.

Today I wanted to create something different to add to my Holiday card collection. So I dragged out the stamp sets I thought would work well together. Here are the ones I decided to use in todays card:

Creative Elements
Very Merry Tags
Christmas Messages

I created the background using Coastal Cabana, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Perfect Plum.

I embossed the ornaments and edges with silver using the Versamarker to create the edges of the card. I wanted to create a window with ice crystals forming around the edges. I like what I ended up with but definately want more time to experiment with the idea.

Thanks for stopping by. Cya soon!

A Calm Christmas

Hi and welcome to my studio. I was out shopping the other day and spotted some really nice Christmas cards. I immediately thought of the stamp set Calm Christmas and began designing my version in my mind. Here is the result ....

I was quite pleased with how it came out. The embossing really makes an impact on the all white card. I hope you have enjoyed dropping in and please leave your comments ! Cya soon.

Vintage Lace

Hi Again! I recently purchased a stamper magazine and found the inspiration for my next card. This card includes parchment and embossing. I just cannot resist a new technique! Oh and I was able to use my old Singer hand sewing machine!  Also had a play with the Stampin'UP  pressed clay. A lot of love went into this one so I hope you enjoy it:-))

If you would like to know what supplies I used to make this card please contact me ginawiseman67@gmail.com.

I'd love to hear from you! Have a wonderful weekend. Cya soon!

Husband got a speeding ticket and I dropped the hot iron in the middle of the living room carpet.Grrr!!!!  So on to the important stuff....Crafting! I've got a few pictures to share with you today. First are of my recent Christmas Stamp-a Stack Event. We made 3 cards of 6 different designs. I've included a few extras that I've been working on for family and friends.

It was a fun day with fellow crafters. I hope to do more of these events in the future. Let me know if you would like to book on any of my classes or have a workshop in your home. Thanks for stopping by. Cya soon!

Happiness

This week I've spent a lot of time thinking about "happiness". The happiness of my family, friends along with my own happiness. We all want to be happy and spend most of our time searching for what will make us happy. As I get older I realise we cannot find happiness from other people or material things, it must come from within. That isn't always easy when we are going through difficult times but if we have don't waiver in our beliefs or try to change for people around us during those difficult times we can still find happiness during struggles. So today I wanted to make a card celebrating "Happiness"!

I hope today you will find happiness and treasure what is truly important in life. If you would like to know what supplies I used in making this card please feel free to contact me. And as always I would love your comments. Thank you for coming by and have a wonderful day. Cya soon!

Oh Hello....

Hello and welcome! Today I have managed two cards for you. First the  "Oh Hello" card using Stampin'UP! Mosiac Madness stamp set. LOVE LOVE LOVE this set. I had originally overlooked this set but after seeing so many ideas using it I decided to give it a try. I am really pleased I own it. I added some of the gingham DSP and Baker's twine to finish it off.

Next is a card using aqua painters along with the classic ink pads to achieve the background. This stamp is from the Wetlands stamp set. If you would like to place an order please visit my store. I hope you have enjoyed stopping by and will come again soon.

Have a wonderful weekend!

More Christmas Cheer !

I am so late in posting here this week. I am not getting nearly enough time in the studio these days but when I do I am loving the new Christmas stamps. Today's card is using the Post Card stamp along with Christmas Messages. Although the colours aren't traditional I do think they really suit this card. What do you think ?

This is another card to be made at my Chrismas Stamp-a-Stack Event in Bishop's Cleeve October 19th. Please contact me to hold you r place. I would to see you there!
