Autumn Butterflies...

Hey Stampers! I hope you are enjoying a restful Sunday. Weather has turned here and thoughts of Autumn are filling my mind. I cannot believe we are having such cool temperatures and it's July!!!

The up side is I want to work with all the beautiful autumn colors. Today I'd like to share a couple of cards I created. Again I want to demonstrate how to make the most of these stamps and time.

The butterfly has been cut out and embossed in gold. Unfortunately the photo doesn't do it justice as it is stunning and I am so pleased how this card has come out. I love getting my fingers inked up with making my own backgrounds. Too much fun !!

What happened to the cut out Butterfly you ask? Here it is! I have used it on this next card. I've kept this card simple only adding this little metal safety pin for the finishing touch.

I hope you have enjoyed todays projects. Please visit again. Cya soon!

Joy to the World……..

Hi Stampers and welcome. I've had a chance to start my Christmas cards for 2015. A little late for me but it has to be done! I'd like to share some new ideas that you might like to incorporate in this seasons cards yourself.

I am loving the water coloured effect at the moment and thought it might look cool on the snowflakes so I got my supplies out and here you can see I have stayed busy ! Stay tuned for more of this in my cards to come.

I hope you have enjoyed these and will come again . Have a great day. Cya soon!

Making the most of your stamps

Hi Stampers! Today I want to share a couple of techniques I have played around with this week. I am always trying to find new ways to use my stamps. I like to get the most for my money, don't we all? So let's take a look at the two projects….

So first I have used the kissing technique incorporating the Watercolour Wings with Morning Meadow. Of course you could easily substitute any stamp I just thought the little flowers would look nice on this one. Colours used are Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede.

It's just a fun way to get the most out of this set!  Next I have used the Indescribable Gift Stamp set. I embossed the image on watercolour paper first. Next I water coloured the image using pool party, strawberry slush and hello honey. I got a little heavy handed on the strawberry slush so do be careful! You can always come back in after it has dried and add more colour if desired. I just love the vibrancy of this one! Very artsy:-)

I hope you have enjoyed stopping by my studio today. If you have any question please feel free to contact me. Have a wonderful weekend. Cya soon!!

happy Birthday……..

Hi Stampers. Today's card uses the Butterfly Basics stamp set. I've chosen to do this one in Pool Party and Whisper White. I just love the lacey butterfly included in this set and can see some great backgrounds being created with it. Perhaps tomorrow……

Thank you for dropping by my blog. Have a great day!

Sending Wishes your way…..

Hi Stampers. I hope you are having a good start to the week. Today I am sharing a card using many different stamp sets. I love the frame I can create on cards using the Morning Meadow stamp set ( now retired) by Stampin Up. This technique I picked up by Papertrey on youtube.

Next I used the fern from Butterfly basics( Old Olive) to create a background. The flowers are from Flower Shop and Petite Petals, stamped in Pumpkin Pie.

The Bold Butterfly Framelits provided the size butterfly I wanted on this card, not too big! I cut it out three times for the extra dimension. Rhinestones added to give it the finishing bling and this card is ready to pop in the mail to someone special.

Thank you for viewing todays project. If you have any question please contact me. Have a great day!

A day at the Beach

Hi Stampers and welcome. Since summer has finally arrived I decided it was time to use the By the Tide stamp set I have had sitting waiting for me. This card reminds me of days spent on the beach. I chose these colours because they represent summer to me….gotta love Coral !!!

Colurs used are Crisp Canteloupe and Coral Calypso. I distressed the edges and fancy cut out the images. It's a really simple card to make and could easily be turned into a great scrapbook layout for summer photos.

I hope you have enjoyed dropping by and will come again.

Awesomely Artistic

Hi Stampers. We've finally made it to the weekend….yay! I hope to spend some time in the studio, how about you? I managed a little time this morning and here is what I created with one of my new stamps "Awesomely Artistic" by Stampin Up. When I spotted this in the new catalogue I knew I had to own this stamp set. It has not disappointed.

I grabbed the Thinlits Label card as soon as they hit the clearance rack and I am so pleased I did! It was another product that passed me by when it was current. I can see I will get a lot of use from it, so money well spent !

The colours used in this card are Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise. The design is simple but effective I think. Do you agree? I'd love to hear from you so please leave your comments.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Watercolor Wings

Hi Stampers. I know I promised a new project and I am working on it but I had to share my first card using the new Watercolour Wings set by Stampin Up. I was so excited to receive my stash of new stamps just in time for the weekend, especially since our forecast is rain…..bring it on! I love having an excuse to stay in my studio and create.

To create the background on my tag I used Awesomely Artistic and Butterfly Basics. The colours are basic grey, pear pizzazz and blushing bride. Oh I do hope you like this little card. I'd love to hear from you so feel free to leave me a comment. Thank you for dropping by and have a wonderful weekend.

Daffodil Delight

Hi Stampers and welcome back. It's been ages since I have had time to craft or post so I apologise for the long absence. I think the break did me good as I am ready to get back into creating some pretties.

This is my first attempt at the Tag Topper punch card closure….wow that's a mouth full! I can see a few tweaks I need to make on the next card but all in all I am pretty happy with the outcome. What do you think ?…….

I hope you have enjoyed stopping by. Keep watching as the next few weeks I will be working on an altered book……should be fun!
Have a great day!

Just a note…..

Hi Stampers. Sun is shining here at the moment so I am going to make this a quick post so I can walk my dog!

The card in a box inspired me to carry the birdhouse theme on to a regular card. I just love the look of the bird against the house and all the colours surrounding him.

This card has so much texture you just have to touch it! I hope you will be inspired to create something fun today. Thank you for dropping by and have a wonderful weekend.

Wisteria Wonder

Hi Stampers! We made through another week …yay!! Time for some fun so let's get started. I've been playing with the butterfly thinlits and trying to get through this endless supply of old stash. It seems the more I use the more there is to clear!! Ho hum.

Todays card combines Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum card stock with Whisper White all to give a clean and simple card.

I hope you've enjoyed today's project and will check back soon. Have a great weekend!

You make me Smile card in a box

Hi Stampers and welcome. Today I'd like to share my first ever card in a box. I've wanted to make one of these for ever but have been so intimidated at what appeared to be a difficult card to make. It's not!! Although I will say decorating this particular one did take a lot longer than anticipated lol.  Before I show you I want to give credit to Monica Gale for the awesome tutorial here. Thanks Monica for making this so easy to re create! And I also want to thank Jacquii McLeay for the inspiration with her lovely little bird house. Mine has been tweaked but I am delighted with the outcome. Here it is….

Well it was a mammoth task for me as I usually for quick and easy but well worth it! I would love to receive one of these in the mail so I am eager to send this one to someone special.  It's Springtime in a box !

I hope you've enjoyed stopping in today and will visit again. Have a wonderful day.
