Mini Album Madness...

Happy Tuesday! It's been extremely difficult getting back into the work routine after a few days off over the holidays. On the up side, days are beginning to get longer already and I'm  looking forward to spring.

I've been busy making a few mini albums and thought I would share them with you today. One is for the latest addition to our family and the other for my daughter.

The first one is a super easy project I found here.  If you are like me I want quick albums to complete as so many I've attempted are far too complex for my ability or attention span! Here's a closer look...

The next album uses the coordination papers by Stampin Up. I just love the distressed and worn effect that's acheived with a little sanding.

I give credit for the inspiration of this ablum to Chic'n Scratch. The tutorial for this mini album can be found here. I really enjoyed creating this little book as it gave me the excuse to use most of my flower stamps! And again I had to add some inspirational quotes. Just a fun little book for collecting photos in.

I hope you enjoyed these albums. If you have any question or comments please message me! Cya soon!

You're Invited.......

I thought it would be fun to make a Valentine Invitation using the File folder card template. As in the previous posts I have used the tutorial from Patty Bennett. I kept the tabs the same on what is my envelope enclosing the invite. Here's a look........

I love this colour combination and thought it would be fun for my invitations. Now to get busy making some more! I hope you've enjoyed these little file folder cards as much as I have. Have a wonderful day and stop in again soon. Cya!

a Pocket full of Inspiration...

Happy Sunday! Hopefully you are safe from all this terrible weather we seem to be experiening on both sides of the pond. The good thing with bad weather is it's an excuse to stay in and craft!

I've been busy getting familiar with my punch board. Today I made this little pocket full of inspiration for a friend.

I've followed Patty Bennett's tutorial found here. I altered my pocket slightly by only cutting the one file  tab on the lower half. All of the quotes and sentiments are varied from among my collection of Stampin Up and other stamp sets. I cannot have too many of them , i only wish I had more!
If you have any questions about the papers or stamp sets used to make this project please contact me.  Now I am off to create a few more Valentine's. Come back and see what I get up to.

More Love

Craft room a mess with an explosion of Crisp Cantaloupe and Pool Party everyone I decided to carry on! It's been a while since I had the Hearts a Flutter stamp set out. I still love this set. There are just so many uses for it. This card combines embossing with the Big Shot and stamping for a variety of textures.

Now I really should get busy working! Please come again.

From Paris with Love.........

Welcome to the Firefly Studio. Today I am carrying on with my Valentine theme. I do admit this card turned out completely different than what I had in mind when I started. More often than not that happens for me! During the creation of this card I became completley overwhelmed with ideas!! Have a look ......

I started the background with Stampin Up's En Francais stamp in Basic Gray. I dabbed off most of the ink with a baby wipe. Nex in Basic Gray came Morning Meadow stamp. The tags was made using the Chalk Talk Framelits on both the pool party and very vanilla card stock. The little border along the very vanilla edge is Summer Silhouettes. The sentiment is from Field of Flowers. And at long last I have a use for the tiny Eiffel tower in the collage Curios set. I must admit I was considering sell that set as to date I hadn't found a use for any of the tiny images. Just goes to show that if you hang on to things eventually you will use them!

I'd love to hear from you and hope you will come again. Have a wonderful weekend!

A Winter's Day

Hi Everyone. I hope you are all enjoying this holiday season. It's been so nice to have some down time to finally get the chance to play with my stamps. My pinterest addiction has been in full force this past week giving me a lot of inspiration and reason to get busy creating!

I haven't had as much opportunity to use this Stampendous stamp as I had hoped but today I made this for a fellow swapper. I hope she likes it!

Other stamps used were Special Season and Gorgeous Grunge. The photo doesn't show it very well but the pine cones have snow from the Gorgeous Grunge all over them.

Happy New Year! Come again soon.
