Be Mine Valentine Banner

Hello Stampers! I am sorry for the delay in this next project. It took a little longer than I anticipated! I had an image in my mind for a Valentine's Banner using some retired items and a few new things from Stampin Up. Once I got started I decided to alter it, as usual, hence the delay.

The Be Mine banner I created was labor intensive but well worth it in the end. I hope you will agree once you've had a look…...

Most of the supplies used are Stampin Up current & retired. I am really pleased with how it's come out as the photos don't do it justice. I've been wanting to make a banner for some time now but felt overwhelmed by the enormity of the project. I decided last weekend to tackle that fear once and for all, get off pinterest and start creating a Velentine's Day banner. It was difficult at first to layout the design. Once I had it though the project really wasn't that difficult. Just don't expect to complete this in an afternoon unless you are some sort of Super Crafter !

I hope this has inspired you to make one yourself. I am happy to offer the supplies I used in creating mine if you message me. Please let me know you've dropped in to the studio today by leaving a comment below.

Have a great day and come again!

2 Step Stamping with Lotus Blossom

Hi Stampers! I've been itching to try the new Lotus Blossom 2 step stamping set I received over a month ago. As I was digging through my stamp drawer I came across it buried under the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack. I had planned to post a mini album today but couldn't resist these cards.

Now that I have had a chance to use this set….I am lovin it! Oh ! and the Lost Lagoon. Sad but this is the first chance I've had to use it as well…….it's Lush! I love how perfectly this set goes with the papers from the stack. I've already got plans for my next batch of cards!

I hope you've enjoyed your visit today and will come again. Have a great day .

Altered Journal

Hi Stampers. I hope you are having a nice weekend. It's blue skies and sunshine here today so I won't be staying in the studio as I had hoped. I just can't pass up a dry sunny day to go for a walk. But before I head out I wanted to share the altered journal I created yesterday.

The papers are Pion and the stamp is from Unity's de France labels. I've been waiting to use this stamp set for ages! This paper provided the perfect base for the image.  The flowers were created using Stampin Up's pansy and the retired fun flowers die.  I loved making those flowers and must admit I've always been very imitated when it comes to creating my own. I am really pleased in how these have come out though.

Well that's it for today but please come again as I have quite a few projects planned for this next month. Have a glorious day!

Cupid is in the Studio….

Hi Stampers! I hope you have had a great week and an even greater weekend ahead. I am looking forward to creating some new items in my studio this weekend . So be sure to check back soon.

Today it appears Cupid has made his appearance in the Firefly Studio. I've been busying myself with Valentine cards of all sorts.

So there you have it, Valentine's Day is done in the studio for 2015. I cannot promise to not make a few more though:-) I hope this has inspired you to get those stamps, papers and embellishments out and create your own cards this year. Please come again as this year I am going to be spending more time on altered art, journals and mini albums projects.

Thank you for viewing my blog and please leave your comments below. Have a wonderful weekend.

On the Farm

Hi Stampers and welcome back! I am sorry for the long absence from posting here. Life gets in the way sometimes:-)) I am back and super excited to be in my craft studio again.

Over the weekend I spent time using some new stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink I purchased back in August. I haven't been able to find the time until now to have a play with them. I do love the set I am showing you today. The farm animals and images are just adorable and as a country girl myself I just had to have these.

I've used Stampin Up card stock, inks and embellishments to finish these cards off. Pretty cute eh? I do love working with products a little different to what everyone else is using. I'd love to hear from you and please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

 Have a wonderful day.
